Members have the right to attend the CANATHON, which is an annual four-day convention of ABCCA members. First held in 1980, the venue for the Canathon is on a rotational basis from state to state. It provides members with an occasion to meet and trade with interstate and overseas collectors, as well as enjoying various social events and collecting fellowship. The ABCCA magazine, Australian Beer Can Collector, is produced every two months and is mailed to members as part of their annual subscription. The 48-page magazine includes reports of Division meetings and activities, updated information on new release cans and other brewery items. There are sections on breweriana collecting and other members’ collections, auction reports, collecting news from Australia and abroad, trading ads and special articles submitted by members. If they so wish, members can exercise the right to join a State Division of ABCCA. Typically, Divisions hold a meeting on a monthly basis, to provide opportunities for trading, exchanging information and enjoying the Division’s social activities. How do I join the ABCCA?
